we need to break the book into readable segments, shorter (way shorter) than chapters - and then give everyone a few days to read and respond to what they read. There needs to be a form to this, and the "book club" model probably makes the most sense.
I havent had time to look through my copy at all - dad you might know best - what's a good first segment to read and respond to?
That's my idea of how to proceed anyway.

Thanks, Jer. I have posted three topics in the form of propositions at the top, right of the page.
the necessity of disagreement to friendship
the basic human need for private prayer
the struggle to worship in all cultures at all times
Let me know if the page numbers do not correspond to the copy of the book you are reading, and I will make adjustment.
As I said in my opening blog (severely edited many times in the last few days) let's just begin wherever you all are wanting to dive in.
One more thought, Jer.
I always read until I am 'stopped' ...
That way, you're not trying to find something. You're just 'there', and available.
What's so valuable about sharing an experience like this is not that we agree or see the same thing, but that together we see more than we do separately.
A good book is truly like a diamond: multi-faceted. The way you see it gives me a perspective I can not have on my own.
Jonah has given one very good look. I am really looking forward to how this gem looks where the rest of you are seeing it.
